We are back at the marina and things are slowly returning to normal again. Yesterday, I cleaned and cleaned inside the boat – removing most of the sanding dust that managed to make its way through our taped up hatches. We had two top hatches completely removed throughout the sanding process and whilst we tried to keep the hatches sealed on the inside via paint drop sheets taped to the ceiling, this approach was only partly successful because rain resulted in the sheets caving in on several occasions. The failure of the drop sheets also meant there was some over spray inside the boat. Our kitchen bench now has a mild spray of paint spread across it – not too bad though, as the overspray should motivate us to change the current dark orange laminex to a brighter colour – a task we have been talking about for several months now. Here is a picture of ‘Anais’ at the marina that David took yesterday. |
