| So, here begins our next journey. We are going green by converting our diesel powered vessel to an electric slick machine. We do not expect it to be cheap but we were up for many $$$ to replace the motor with a similar new diesel motor (no gear box) and at some stage we would need to invest in a marine diesel generator. So we have a goal to achieve our electric motor conversion for a similar price to what it would cost us to replace the engine and gearbox. And, our marine diesel generator moves from being an item we always wanted to being a critical component of the project.
Smithy’s Slipways in Cairns agreed to haul us out and place us on his hardstand whilst we undertake our grande plans. | |
| It’s official Anais weighs 27.6 Tonnes (We have always wondered) |
