This morning we woke and there was not a cat to be seen. Most unusual given Princess is extremely punctual when it comes to breakfast and dinner. So, for the next hour Dave and I looked around the marina, whistled and wooed all to no avail. We contemplated the fate our Princess might have met through out the night and were saddened by the thought that the monsters of the deep may have feasted on our treasured delight. We looked at the land across from our berth and not a pining cat in sight. Soon after, came a knock on the hull of our boat which offered some hope. “do you own a cat with a blue collar?” was the questioned that came forth. “Yes?” I answered with a suggestion that there was more to come. It was true, she had found a very social cat down on a boat next to G4. Ironically, and quite comically G4 was the berth we occupied yesterday morning. We had to move our boat to another berth that day. Princess was on the boat when we moved. We are not sure why it is she felt a need to return to the boat now occupying our old spot but we are sure it was a pleasant surprise for the owners of the vessel now in G4. |
